whoever made this gets serious respect from me, so perfect on so many levels
And to be totally honest, I half don’t believe CM Punk’s “Never Ever Ever!” comments. On the one hand, I believe that he believes he’s done with WWE for good, and it kind of something he has to say to shut up all these stupid fucking lunkhead fans who just hang on his every word, like sheep and won’t stop harassing him online about it. But on the other hand, Bruno, Bret Warrior and Austin all said the exact same thing at one time or another, and look what happened. If they catch Punk on a good day maybe a half-decade down the road and the climate was right, we very well could see Punk vs. Mr. Mcmahon, or Triple H, like a box office marquee match, ala Bret and Vince at Mania 26, or he could show up on one of those big RAW specials they like to do sometimes. People grow, People gain perspective on things with time, you never know.
Not that it matters, but I wish him well, I never subscribed to the “Punk turned his back on the fans” theory. My issue was more with the fans chanting for Punk for the wrong reasons, and the fact that Punk should’ve manned up and finished out his contract, especially with what they were supposedly paying him. If the younger of us have a right to resent Punk for anything, it’s that he basically gets to retire at 35, when the rest of us will probably end up having to work twice as long, for one-third of the salary. But I guess you can’t really fault a guy for working hard and being good with money, it really just comes from me being a lazy asshole, who’s allergic to hard work :P That’s who I am, and Punk is who Punk is. I can certainly respect him for that, but again, I don’t have to like it
Ultimately however he’s remembered (Let’s not forget on some level, he can always be a world class dick too) I don’t think in terms of wrestling that we’ve seen the end of his story just yet.
